Cleaning Guidelines for Lenders

  • Send items as listed:
    • Your item must arrive with the renter exactly as you listed it.
    • Flag any marks or imperfections to the renter before shipping.
  • Renter’s responsibility:
    • The renter must return the item in good condition.
    • If the item arrives to the renter in poor condition, the renter must notify you with photos and return it within 24 hours to be eligible for a refund.

  • Post-rental cleaning:
    • Standard cleaning after the rental period is your responsibility as the lender.
    • If the item requires specialist care due to marks or damage beyond normal wear, you may charge the renter.
    • The amount should be agreed upon between you and the renter, with proof of receipt recommended.
  • Optional dry cleaning fee:
    • For high-value pieces (over $1500 NZD), you can set a specialist cleaning fee on your listing.
